Fluorescence measurement (arbitrary units) following incubation of 1.3 ng (blue line) of recombinant protein with Amplex Red Sphingomyelinase assay kit. The control conditions were as follows: negative control, 1.3 ng of boiled recombinant protein (green line); positive control, the purified sphingomyelinase from Bacillus cereus provided by the manufacturer (red line). Results correspond to the mean of triplicates and SDs are included.
