Slide 2 was washed less stringently than slide 1, hence the higher fluorescence intensities of its features are reflected in a slope of 1.84 (vs. 1.04 in the intraslide comparison where all wash conditions were constant). Averaging of triplicate data points (c, red circles) effectively eliminated outliers seen in the plot of individual data points (black circles). Average percent coefficient of variability (%CV) values for intra- and interslide subarray comparisons were determined to be 5.76% and 6.86%, respectively (see ).
