Article Snippet: For Western blot analysis, equal amounts of pineal, carotid, or cortical protein were boiled in sample buffer for 5 min and separated by 7.5 or 15% SDS-PAGE (7.5% gel for TH, p75NTR, a-tubulin, and ERK1; 15% gel for BDNF). rhBDNF (20 ng) (Amgen, Thousand Oaks, CA) was also run on a 15% SDS-PAGE gel.
