<t>Permissivity</t> profiles of the G2 and F9 synthetases. Reported is the amount of sfGFP with each of the <t>ncAAs</t> listed in Figure 1 incorporated at position 150. For each expression, ncAA concentration was 1 mM, except for Tco-amF (3) which was 5 mM because preparations of it consisted of an approximately equal mixture of four stereoisomers and only at these elevated concentrations did sfGFP production became significantly higher than background.
