Article Snippet: In brief, 2 × 10 3 tumor cells/well were seeded into 96-well plates and grown for 24 h and then treated with various concentrations of cetuximab (Merck, Germany), PHA-665752 (Selleck Chemicals, TX, USA), HGF (R&D Systems, Minneapolis, MN, USA), and a goat anti-human HGF neutralizing antibody, normal goat IgG (R&D Systems) for 72 h. At the end of each experiment, 50 μL of MTT solution (2 mg/mL; Sigma Chemicals, St. Louis, MO, USA) was added to each well of the cell culture plate, and the cells were incubated for an additional 2 h. The culture medium was replaced with 100 μL of dimethyl sulfoxide.
