Bioz, Inc. to Present at SynBioBeta SF 2017

PALO ALTO, Calif. - October 2, 2017 - Bioz, Inc., developers of the world's first and most comprehensive search engine for life science experimentation, today announced their co-founder and chief scientific officer, Karin Lachmi, Ph. D., will speak at two sessions during the annual SynBioBeta SF conference, which will take place October 3-5, 2017 in San Francisco.

Dr. Lachmi will first speak as a panelist during the workshop titled “Issues That Women Face in the Synthetic Biology Workforce" on October 3, 2017. During the event, Dr. Lachmi will share personal stories on how she has overcome challenges as a woman in science and technology. The panelists will also discuss how others can apply these lessons learned to their respective lives and professional development.

On the following day, Dr. Lachmi will deliver a Lightning Talk titled, "A.I. Recommendation Engine for Life Science Research." She will provide an overview of the Bioz platform and capabilities, showcasing how the search engine offers life science researchers billions of data-driven experimentation insights and objective ratings for over 300 million life science products. Bioz achieves this by tapping into the latest advances in artificial intelligence (AI) - including natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) - to mine and structure hundreds of millions of pages of complex and unstructured scientific papers.

By harnessing the power of AI, Bioz provides researchers with an unprecedented amount of summarized scientific experimentation knowledge right at their fingertips, ultimately accelerating drug discovery and improving the rate of success in finding cures for diseases. Since Bioz emerged from stealth in July 2016, the company has surpassed one million users in 196 countries.
